What cookies are.
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device to remember preferences, maintain a cart session, or measure page traffic. Cookies can be session (cleared when the browser closes) or persistent (kept for a declared period), and first-party (set by Ranieri Gems) or third-party (set by services we use).
Strictly necessary cookies.
We set a small number of cookies that the site cannot run without: the reservation timer, the cart, the sign-in session, the cookie consent state, and the CSRF token. These are always on and do not require consent under Italian and EU law.
Analytics cookies.
To understand which essays read through, which product pages lead to a reservation, and which paths lead to a conversation, we use a single privacy-respecting analytics provider. These cookies are set only after explicit consent and can be revoked at any time from the footer.
No advertising cookies.
We do not use advertising cookies. We do not retarget visitors across the web. We do not sell analytics data. The audience we care about is the one that arrives, reads, and writes back.
Third-party services.
- Stripe — sets strictly necessary cookies during checkout for payment processing and fraud prevention.
- Analytics provider — to be named on selection; sets a first-party analytics cookie after consent.
Cookie durations.
- Session cookies — until the browser closes.
- Preference cookies — 12 months.
- Analytics cookies — 13 months (per GDPR guidance).

You can grant, refuse, or revoke consent at any time through the banner shown on first visit, or through the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer. You can also clear cookies from your browser settings; note that clearing strictly necessary cookies may affect basic site functionality.
